Social Skills Group

Social functioning often presents a challenge for individuals with ASD.  Our H.O.P.E. for learners in social development is to build upon your child’s strengths in order to acquire the skills to engage socially.  This model provides a targeted focus for communication skills with the goal to apply acquired skills in functional and meaningful naturally occurring contexts. Your child’s day may include some of the below activities and will vary based on age and developmental needs:

– Turn-taking and sharing

– Understanding emotions & facial expressions
